Introduction
This simple salad combines peppery watercress with crisp apples, sweet honey, and a light vinaigrette for a refreshing dish that pairs well with roasted meats or as a light starter.
Ingredients
1 large bunch fresh watercress, washed and trimmed
1–2 apples, thinly sliced
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
3 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup toasted walnuts or pecans
Salt and black pepper to taste
Steps
Whisk honey, vinegar or lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Toss watercress and apples in a large salad bowl.
Drizzle dressing over greens and toss lightly.
Sprinkle with toasted nuts and serve immediately.
